MEET CAROLINE

Caroline achieved her BSc Honours degree in Speech and Language Therapy at the University of Ulster. She worked for 16 years with the Health Service Executive, both in community clinics and disability settings, including special schools and special classes. Caroline was a senior therapist for services to children with Specific Language Impairment and services to children with Autistic Spectrum Disorders.

Caroline is founder and director of Chasing Rainbows, a private home-based speech and language therapy service for children. She is now providing online speech and language therapy through telepractice.

Caroline has completed the following training:

  • Lámh Irish Sign Language
  • Derbyshire Language Scheme
  • Floor-time Early Intervention Training
  • PECS Picture Communication Exchange System
  • Wordsworth Literacy Programme

With over 20 years experience as a Speech & Language Therapist, Caroline provides assessment and intervention for children through telepractice.

Alongside the other traditional approaches, as a musician and singer-songwriter, Caroline enjoys incorporating music, song, rhythm into her sessions, where appropriate. She is a member of the Irish Association of Speech & Language Therapists (IASLT) and registered with CORÚ, the regulator for health care professionals (Reg No. SL018060)
